Re: British Moth

BM 459 is now in my garage awaiting some TLC, many thanks to Steve and the CVRDA forum. Still interested in buying more Moths - it's becoming a bit of an obsession.

Re: British Moth

Thanks again - possibility I could come over this Saturday late afternoon (tomorrow), but more likely a week on Sunday if that's OK. I've got a decent road base and the means to lash a trailer to it. Will give you a call to arrange. All Best, Gavin

Re: British Moth

OK great - which weekend day suits you best? Possibility I could come over sometime this weekend, but more likely next weekend if that would be OK.

Re: British Moth

Hi Steve, sounds good. Do you have any photographs you could send me on hall_g@habsboys.org.uk please? Is the hull all ok? Many thanks, Gavin

Re: British Moth

I'm afraid it does look at bit too much of a project for me - but thanks for suggesting it!

British Moth

There is some interest at my local club (Rickmansworth) in British Moths and I am keen to help get a fleet going. If you have an old British Moth around the £300 mark, ideally not too far away and perhaps needing some TLC, then please do message me. I have also posted on BMBA website and am keeping ...

Re: Winter Boat

Ah good point; definitely not another Minisail for me please, and I am looking for something of all wood construction.

Winter Boat

I'm looking out for a dinghy to tidy up over the summer for winter use when my Moth and Merlin go into hibernation. Mainly for single handed use - so I thought an early British Moth or Solo, or even a Firefly or similar. Not much money in the kitty, but very happy to do cosmetic work / upgrading etc...

Interesting International Fourteen on the Bay:

Older than I am - and clearly in much better condition.

British Moth ONONO on the Bay

Spotted on the Bay; I'm sure I've heard of this Moth before, shame to see it in such a sorry state. I'm tempted, but have bought my old and marvellous BM617 back.

To tape or not to tape, that is the question...

Can the panel help me please? I've purchased a British Moth with a hull which has been largely stripped of paint. Apparently that there was a small leak into the front bouyancy tank, hence stripping the hull. The hull looks extremely sound indeed, and the leak was thought to be at a joint between tw...
