Re: Yachting World Dayboat - 1968

The owner of YWDB 356 is prepared to let her go to a good home in exchange for a reasonable donation to the RNLI. He can be contacted either through the Gumtree link or, if this expires, I have his name and telephone number, which he is happy for me to pass on.

Re: Clywedog Rally 2020

Hi Keith,
I would hope to come. Small camper van, lumpy boat needing help in and out but that could be done with a long rope.
Best regards,
Jon

Re: Trolley tyres

Six ply tyres can be quite tough to fit. Four ply should be a bit easier. A pair of worn out tyres from a road trailer would be softer still and easier to lever over plastic rims. They would still last for ages on a trolley. Cheaper too.

National 12 mast, rigging and boom

Mast, rigging and boom from an older National 12. The mast is a metal Proctor 6.6 meters long, nice and straight. I was told that it only had 6 years use in the boat, making it about 16 years old. Painted wooden boom probably older or a more modern version of an older boom. Collect from Warminster. ...

Re: MiniSprint 6476 for sale

Gav - I am really looking for the hundred quid for the boat and trolley. The hull will never win a prize for looks and there are repairs (well one repair and three preventative patches) on the floor as per my Ad. But otherwise it is not bad and can be taken straight out and sailed. If no one wants i...

MiniSprint 6476 for sale

MiniSprint 6476 for sale. One boat has to go. First the bad points - the hull is not immaculate. It is well used and the floor has been strengthened in front of and behind the sliding seat towers. That was because the original floor lay-up was wafer thin and had cracked in one place. There are vario...

Re: Buss and Elston info please

Web page www.watfordmuseum.org.uk/links.html has a number of links to other sites such as the Watford and District Industrial History Society www.wadihs.org.uk Perhaps the museum or one of the other local groups might be well placed to assist if contacted?
