All that epoxy and other finishing material feels like a very substantial way on the road to the cost of replacement deck, which will be a far better job. Is it actually necessary to remove it? If at all possible the paint companies recommend sanding nack, not removal.

But technically that wasn't *Brunel's* Great Western Railway... Neyland was the South Wales Railway, which wasn't amalgamated with the Great Western until after Brunel died...

Could you point me at that please? I've been updating the Chris Gittins Decked Canoe archive on the website and inevitably read most of it, and gained an appreciation of how important Herr Thorell was.

Conventionally it would have been just a toggle that fitted through the hole and was then rotated 90 degrees.
