There does not seem to be any buoyancy rear of main sheets ( floated like a seahorse ) but there is room to fit 60 inch bags under side decking both sides. Where are you bas...

Re: Simoun
It was the mast step, a weak spot from what I have read but apart from the different gel coat colour as good as new (or better).
Will try to get you a few pictures of sails etc. with dimensions over the weekend, any requests?

He managed to fit his car and most of his boat under the overhanging trees!!! but finds the pacer under performs with only 3/4 of the mast left!!!

Are you going to BB this weekend? could bring them along Regarding other points, never bumped into another 445 ...

Re: Drying out
This may help.
Cut out a smaller hole than you need, then clamp/screw (through the piece to be cut out) another piece of ply to the underside of the cut. Then cut to required size. This should stop any of the splitting to the back side of the wood.

Re: Spearhead
Thanks to all replies. Spearhead has found its way back to Bewl now! Still trying to find its old owner here. Niel did it have any bouyance bags to the rear (near helm) as it seemed to "sink" when when it fell over the other day.
