Re: Clywedog Rally 2020
Sandy & I in the van as usual would come. It would be good to manage a suitable socially distanced event and an outside AGM - nothing unusual in that! Self catering wouldn't be difficult, we'd just need parking space for the vans.

Idiots Guide to Gelcoat Repairs
The idiots guide to varnishing is a popular article on the main website but similarly what would you tell someone who wanted to do small gelcoat repairs on a boat for the first time?

Re: Pearson Pram Dinghy
It's the baby brother to the Bobbin and Sailaway dinghies they produced. Same rudder, centreboard and mast design. I knew they made 9ft (Bobbin), 11ft (Sailaway) and 13ft dinghies but hadn't seen this one before.

Mike Liggett
Sadly, Mike Liggett of Hunts passed away yesterday due to cancer, having been ill for a while. He will be remembered as a true gentleman both on and off the water and a long time vintage Merlin Rocket sailor and CVRDA supporter in his early, original boat Squirrel and later in War Horse. I shall sen...

Re: My old Lark for sale
I've already got 4 to choose from thanks, out of the 22 boats in our care at present. That's more boats than in Shearwater club!
But if I absolutely had to buy another boat and actually had space and storage for one and the money, it would be the Ghost. But I still think it is too expensive.

Gosh I recognise that boat too - after you sold it Peter, it spent many years at Shearwater and was there until about 2008 ish. Hardly ever used in that time.

Re: Quiz ANSWERS
I guess the Falkirk wheel on the Forth & Clyde canal which makes it passable again from Glasgow to Edinburgh.
Though you don't actually need to use the wheel to go on through the lower part of Falkirk to join the Carron by the Kelpies and out to the Forth near Grangemouth.

As ever, it is down to event organisers to choose whether they wish to go ahead with an event and down to individuals if they wish to travel to an event that is going ahead.

Re: More lost classes??
  Amy's ToY is alive and kicking and heading to the Birkett race at Ullswater this year we're told on FaceBook. Do the various Toppers and Lasers come into the same category as RS - the class association is for all boats produced by that manufacturer? But I wouldn't mind seeing a Bell Flye...

More lost classes??
Last AGM we extended the CVRDA eligibility rules to include as lost classes, those built after 1965 and before 1990 and where that class is no longer in production and its association has ceased to exist (or never existed).
So which new lost classes could we now see at events?
