Re: Banbury 2015
Is this a two day event? If so, we could come on the Sunday, we both have to work on the Saturday.

Re: Centre main.
Or just defy convention and go aft main? Tacking and gibing would be easier, given the position if the seat.

Re: Centre main.
We have a lot of such gooseneck on our ancient toppers, the force on them lRgely pushes them onto the mast, so they last well..

Bosun, free
Our Sea Scout group has a Bosun which has lain unused all of this season and most of last, mostly because it is aft main and also too heavy for them to feel like lugging it yo the water. To my knowledge it is in good sail able condition and has a good cover and functional launching trolley. From the...

My link hasn't worked, but you should be able to find the pic nonetheless. I fear though that unless you can shift things back a big it won't make much difference!

Re: Centre main.
If you can move that further aft then I would, maybe to the narrow part of the seat? Otherwise it would seem to me the main is doing no more than duplicating the role of the kicker. I suspect it being so far forward is a large part of the problem. The arrangement I describe above is what I have in m...

Re: Centre main.
Replace the bar with a rope traveller, with the sheet coming from the boom, down through a double and at right angles block which runs along the rope traveller. The sheet then goes back to the boom before coming back to a ratchet in the boat. If you want to you can make the tension (height) of the t...

And less of the "old man's armchair"; those wings are so comfortable and kind to be knees, but still demand a modicum of effort to get onto!

New floorboards
The floorboards in the newly purchased waybarge leave a lot to be desired, so Tim kindly cut me some new ones from decent ply given to him by a boatbuilding friend. What should I use to treat the bare ply?

Re: Cvrda goodies and stuff
I will investigate Wave Clothing - my D one shirt came from them so I know they are good - and will also look into getting stickers printed. Does anyone have high resolution artwork for the logo ? A cruising burgee is a great idea but would probably be massively expensive. We're currently thinking a...
Wayfsrer
I have bought Wayfsrer 1828, grip I'm afraid, with the intention of doing some Day Sailing and Cruising. Any suggestions for kitting it out and modifications to make? It's a basic mk1.
