Blithfield Rally 2014
So Blithfield is going to be hosting another rally this year and hopefully it will be as enjoyable as last years event. This year the event will be second bank holiday week in May 24th and 25th so the question is.... is everyone happy with the way the event was run last year? number of races? timing...

Re: Which Adhesive?
I used 106 epoxy to fix problems with the hull, deck and carlings on my old Merlin. Was by far the strongest point of the boat. Resisted all the flex in the hull and there was a lot as she was old and built with a high bow tank. The old cascamite gule continued to crack until most of the deck, carli...

Re: Dinghy Show 2014
I'm around on Saturday and will be at the bar for Sandy to buy me a pint! Hi Luke, who else is coming down from Blithfield with you? If it is either Chris M or 'dirty hands' then access to the bar is only via a picture of nyamanananaianani!!!!! See you all then! D Not sure about those two, I'll ask...

Re: Dinghy Show 2014
Sounds good to me, theres three of us coming from Blithfield that I know of so far on the train. Getting there for show opening and there all day.
Catching the train back hopefully just before the hordes of elated England fans start traveling home. If we beat the Irish of course.

Re: So which boat should I be looking for?
Not really into single handers having only sailed a very battered laser at our club and on holiday. Although I was tempted to buy a single hander last year when I couldn't find a crew.
What about an OK or Europe? Although a Europe i think is probably more sit on.

Dinghy Show 2014
Hi all,
As you probably know the dinghy show is on the 1st and 2nd of March this year. I am planning to attend on the Saturday so as not to interupt Sunday sailing.
Is anyone else going to be there then? Meet for a pint or two?
Luke

I'm not sure how we are going to work it yet, will start looking at it more in January when I have some free time.
May be some scope to do something a little different. Depends on what people want to do really.

Re: 2014 events!
Unfortunately Sledgehammer had to go in order to finance Seventh Heavens repair last year. She went to a good home though not that far from Whitefriars, the couple who bought her seem to be keen on sailing and maintaining so much so they were even asking for the RAL code of the red paint to touch up...
