Re: Roll up, roll up, buy an entire museum collection

. the elevated moth has been moved to the ground level. Someone owes me the £10.00 I had to pay plus a donation to the RNLI! That will be me then :) I hope the boat turns out to be worth all this trouble! Thank you for arranging that Tony, please pm me and i will arrange to reimburse you (unless yo...

Re: Polo shirts

Yes please, I'd be interested in a polo shirt. CVRDA logo will be enough. Too many boats = too many shirts to personalise!

Cheers

Re: Roll up, roll up, buy an entire museum collection

I have bought the 2 moths at Lowestoft and will be going on Wednesday to collect them. As far as i can tell from the photos one is stood on end and the other is not on the top layer as there is racking above it. Being Moths, they should not be heavy and I hope we can manage them out ok. If anyone ha...

Re: de-bodging an Osprey centreboard case - advice req'd

I'm enjoying reading about your exploits and some good ideas coming up. If you can get the launch scooter to work there's a fortune to be made at Osprey, Finn and GP14 meetings! If you haven't already discovered them, there is an excellent range of timber at Sykes in Atherstone http://www.sykestimbe...

Re: Meeting at Hykeham (Again)

Thanks to Sam and all the team at Hykeham for their hospitality, even adding the pretty blue Radox to the water so the moth fleet could swim in comfort!

Look forward to returning next year

Cheers

Re: Meeting at Hykeham (Again)

Hi Sam,

I'm looking forward to joining you at Hykeham with Campervan and Sprite Moth.
Barbeque sounds good to me. Likely to come over Friday evening after work.
Doing my best to encourage a couple more moths too.

Cheers

Re: Magnum 8 restoration

Hi Exsailman, welcome aboard, always good to hear of another moth being saved. Hope you can come and join us on (or in) the water soon. There is a lot of moth info amongst these pages, and you might find some more on the Lowrider moths facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/groups/422607964597474/ ...

Re: Enterprise lack of pointing

Usual suspects would be: Mast rake - Is it somewhere near the recommended settings? Check on one of the sailmaker's sites for a tuning guide. Mast foot position is usually fixed on an Ent, but channel type step with pins can be adjusted. Stick with the light to medium wind settings for pond sailing....

Sorry, but as only a couple of local boats were confirmed ready, we have decided to try and run this later in the season.
