Found- thank you
Hello, I am looking for a working tufnol-style cleat to match the one in the picture that I hope I have attached.
The dimensions of the base are approx 42mm by 94mm and there are three screw holes.
Thank you in advance for any offers.

Re: How to brace MK1 Firefly centreboard case
Michael, very many thanks for the extremely informative posts. I have plenty to work with and can visualise how my approach to plate case reinforcement will go - as you say, a floppy case is no good.
I will try to report back in due course.
Thank you again.

Re: How to brace MK1 Firefly centreboard case
Hi Michael Many thanks for your reply - I have been reading your many posts about all things Firefly with great interest. The pictures are helpful, although I had expected the bracing to be at the front of CB case (as it is on older Merlins) so I will clearly need to read the Firefly rules to get it...

How to brace MK1 Firefly centreboard case
Hello, thanks to STEVEB highlighting it, I have become the owners of F2103 Scallywag - I can't think of a better name! She is in very sound condition having been in the same ownership for 50 years and in a garage for the last 20+ - with a little sanding and varnishing will be up and ready for our Fi...

GONE - please remove
As the devil makes work for idle hands I have taken on a new project in the form of a MK1 Firefly - 60 years old and has spent the last 20+ in the back of a garage. Extremely original with all brass fittings and so on. Anyway, she came to me on a suitably old style trailer (with a current size hitch...

Re: Possibly a rocket
I've had a quick chat with the owner of this boat today. He acquired it when he bought a house, and the Rocket was in one of the outbuildings. It has sat untouched for at least 10 years and, aside from the obvious issue with the foredeck, he says that it is solid. Apparently, when put in the barn it...

Yes, she is complete, and completely free.
Probably not the hardest repair in the world - I've added her to the For Sale section with more details following this morning's field trip to Bromley.

Hoare-built early fibreglass Merlins what do we know?
Hello I have just been to see Merlin 2245 which the yearbook says is a Proctor IX. She has had a few well meaning and unusual buoyancy modifications and is need of some love (although very saveable). Against expectations, she is made of GRP with wood decks and a large tank built in to the forepeak. ...

Re: Merlin Rocket Adur 3 design - Shoestring - update
David, that explains a lot about Flipside (quite an appropriate name given the split identity) and also the ruffled feathers. She's a great looking boat though.

Re: Merlin Rocket Adur 3 design - Shoestring - update
Just in case anyone is interested, here is some information about the Adur 3. [Thanks to Mike Liggett for this bit] 10 were built, two owner-finished. The boats are 900, 902, 925, 987, 988, 1065, 1068, 1072, 1098 and last but not least 1136. I now own 1136 Shoestring. The only other Adur 3 I had see...
