Re: Shin kicking

The worst journey in the world.
Is a memoir of the 1910-13 (Robert Falcon Scott - father of Sir Peter.) expedition by a survivor, Apsley Cherry Gerrard. Captain Scotts last letter to his wife could be considered the foundation document of the conservation movement.

As Michael implies this medal is 68 years late but it serves to put any self inflicted minor discomforts into perspective! For myself it has to be warm these days!

Re: Recreation of Shackletons voyage
The Bounty/Bligh voyage was done a few years back by Jasper Shackleton the son of Keith aka K Humphrey Shakewell, there was a web site. These Shackletons are relations of Ernest but not linear descendents. Keith painted several pictures of the boat at sea. http://www.jamescairdsociety.com/shackleton...

Re: Rule changes for better or worse
There are I think several factors at play here, for better or for worse. • The innactivity of class associations, which leads to a class being on “The Liverpool Pathway”. • The only hope for these classes is the CVRDA. • What designates a class rather than a one off? • One has to say that some of th...
