Are you looking for a proctor style sliding gooseneck or a fixed one like a needlespar or Superspar? If it’s a proctor type then is it the wide or narrow mast track? Depending on your answer I might be able to help.

Re: Merlin Rocket Adur 3 design - Shoestring - update
I know where there is another Adur 3 if anyone’s interested. It is really just a hull and the decks have already been removed by the previous owner ready for re-decking. The hull itself seems to be in pretty good shape and has been dry stored for at least ten years. If someone wanted to take it on I...

Re: Baltic Wharf
Leave a bright light on and the Moths will be there!
It looks as though there may be a few others joining Lyndon and me so fingers crossed for a decent turnout and some favourable conditions...if there is such a thing at Baltic Wharf?
Regards

Re: 2018 events
Can all those who may be in a position to host an event next year please let me know with possible dates, as I know many sailing clubs are starting to firm up their calendars for next year about now. Hi Peter, I have sent you a pm on the subject of events next year so once you have had a chance to ...

Re: 2018 events
Ian, if you wanted to steer Agamemnon for this you'd be welcome! Hmmm, now there's a tempting idea and I would love the chance to sail "Aggie" sometime. Are you thinking of crewing or do I need to see if Lyndon would be up for it? Two Moth sailors in a classic 14...what could possibly go ...

Re: 2018 events
David, Unfortunately I do not own any Proctor designed boats, however, if you need someone to steer something like a Typhoon for example, while you take pictures, then give me a shout! I would quite like the opportunity to take part in this event, if it comes off, as the first boat I ever sailed was...
Re: Banbury
Thanks again to Tim, Pat and all at Banbury Sailing Club who helped make it another splendid day both on and off the water. Great to see a good variety of boats and it was nice that Ian and Matt came along even though they forgot to bring a boat! Sorry we couldn't stay for the quiz this time, but ho...

Re: Merlin Rocket 1028
Hi Sam, According to the Merlin Rocket Yearbook 1028 is Proctor mk 12 called "Arthur" which was built by Wyche and Coppock in 1960. Another example is 2040 which has been beautifully restored by Laurie Smart and appears regularly on the Thames circuit gaining good results, but it has been ...

Re: Polo shirts
Hi Nessa, Wendy and I would probably like one each so once you get the details from the supplier we can choose colours and sizes.

Re: Meeting at Hykeham (Again)
A big thank you to Hykeham Sailing Club and Sam Mason in particular for organising the first CVRDA event in Lincolnshire and being the perfect host on Saturday evening together with Steve Sallis who also did a great job as Race Officer and part-time fish rescuer! It's a shame that for one reason or ...

Hi Sam,
Are dogs welcome and will there be space for our motorhome?
Format sounds fine and we are always up for a BBQ.

Re: Picnic race
Hi Keith,
Wendy and I will be there in the Motorhome with Baxter and would like to arrive on Sunday morning with a view to joining in with the club racing if that's ok.
Our preference would be for the BYO BBQ.
Cheers

Re: Enterprise lack of pointing
Sitting too far aft certainly wouldn't help your pointing so that may well be at least part of the problem. Most boats go better upwind with the crew weight a bit further forward particularly in lighter winds, in fact the Enterprise generally prefers the weight forward both upwind and down until you...

Re: Baltic Wharf NEXT SATURDAY
As there have been no positive responses to this post or the similar plea on the Facebook page, asking who is intending to go to the Baltic Wharf event, have we reached the point where a decision needs to made? Maybe we should tell the club now that regrettably, due to the low number of people able ...
