Re: Oulton Week
Please put your interest on this site... Nessa has said that she will bring Agemenon (And that is definitly spelt wrong - you try spell checking Agemmon) - all we need is over ten boats to get our own start.. The probable schedule would Mixed centres in the morning, Dinner time CVRDA "class rac...

Re: Oulton Week
Oulton Week is always the week directly before the August Bank Holiday Monday - The powerboats have the Broad on the Monday. So Oulton Week 2010 would be 22 August to 27 August. The Wherry Trophy is being raced for today at 13:03 unfortunatly it hadn't yet been returned, but I'm back on Friday for t...

Re: Oulton Week
Oh I meant to add if we can get enough boats to commit to compete at Oulton Week 2010, I have a verble agreement that the classic & vintage dinghies could have thier own start. The bad news is that we would need to know by about MARCH as that is when the planning for Oulton Week starts....

Re: Oulton Week
After the first day of Oulton Week - glorious weather - sun all day, force 3-4 but unfortunatly from the very worst direction possible SSW, on Oulton this means setting a good beat is nigh on impossible. Nick Truman seemed to be struggling in his Brown Boat today, I'm sure he will return to his norm...

Re: Pegasus No. 8 - Free to a good home
Pegasus no8 is definitly repairable. It would appear that the hull started leaking and the leak was then "solved" by use of glass mat. All this did was lock the moisture into the hull. When we had removed the mat, (To see if it was worth restoring) the rotten wood went from the front of th...

Oulton Week
A great sailing week is coming up. You can turn up for one day or do the whole week. Oulton Week is sailed on Oulton Broad near Lowestoft and is a lovely stretch of water. Most of the boats sailing will be over 50 years old - although these are mostly Broads half deckers and Broads River Cruisers.. ...

Re: New Home Page
The details of the Blaze dinghy on the database are incorrect. The website should be http://www.blaze-sailing.org.uk/, and we do not do weight equalisation now... The picture is a little out of date as it show's the Mk1 Blaze - Not the boat that is currently being sailed (I may be able to send you p...

I may have dug myself a hole on Y&Y forum (again): (Different Thread....) -however Pegasus No8 - not sure about - he put a screwdiver throught the bottom, forward of the centreboard and it went through..... I will look at the boat later, but if anyboddy wants to make a bid I will not stand in th...

Re: Lost class or lost cause?
There was no need for the ISO to change it's rig - it was POP culture kids saying it looked out dated....

Re: Lost class or lost cause?
The biggest difference in the two boats was in the rig, for the Blaze X went for the semi hard (or semi soft) rig and in doing so made the boat quicker - as well as easier and more rewarding to sail. Which brings in your point about development, because all those first generation Topper boats had a...
