Thanks to Rupert's praise, Mervyn has asked me to write the Vintage section report for the Tideway race. Please would everyone taking part contribute their collective experiences in the bar afterwards and we'll pull something together. I'm told Putney is dreadful for driving and "don't park on ...

I'm gradually working on some pages - nuts and bolts side - it's just been too nice weather lately! I haven't tried the ftp again yet either. I'm putting the events details pages for the rest of this year together and a new front page as a start. The classes pages will follow from there and I'll put ...

Glad you liked our co-operative effort, the alcoholic lubrication helped. I was always told that making sure as many as possible got mentioned was a basis for a good report.

Peter - Good. Yes please. If the class website has a good design guide (I'm thinking Merlin Rocket here) then we'll link to it from an overview page - no point in re-inventing wheels! I have a finn photo or two - Baltic Wharf and Roadford - as it would be nice to use members' pics for the illustrati...

Brightlingsea had quite a few modern cats (including Olympic Tornados) and it's only a couple of hours from you and no need for M25.

Funny you should say that as whilst I was away and offline I was looking at the website pages and decided that the front page needs a major re-vamp as it is our main advertising to the outside world. At present it is too internal. I think the "who can come" page text should be right up fro...

The CVRDA lost property department has now returned home and Alan's bag will be whiffing it's way to Roadford next weekend and Lyn's shorts will also be re-united with their owner. Race report and sailwave results emailed on. We had a very enjoyable if chilly week and joined the club pursuit race on...

There must be so many clubs out there who don't send in returns mainly because of the effortinvolved yet have two or three comparatively rare boats racing regularly with advantageous handicaps. How many other clubs have YW Dayboats regularly on the water? And have they done full returns on them? I d...

No No it's DAYbarges - taking advantage of that dreadful 1200 handicap. And from the msny Midlands sailors I've met the symmetric traditional classes are still very strong - Larks and GPs at South Staffs (one of the largest most active Lark fleets in the country), Larks and Merlins at Shustoke, Lark...
