I wondered if anybody could advise on two points relating the painting of an old Parker 505. 1 What sort of paint would you use? (hand painted not sprayed) 2 What would you do about the raised shape on the front deck? This links is not to mine but shows what I mean, would you paint it all white or p...

Whilst at Felbrigg Hall I was browsing the used book store and found Bright Images, The Story of the Upper Thames SC. Some really nice images and some interesting history. Happy to lend it to anybody if inteterested, or sell on?

Is there any buoyancy under the rear deck? I find that with J9, which has side tanks, that the transom is very low following a capsize so I was thinking of putting in the largest bag I could fit in.

Talking of 505 s- I have a confession - just bought one on ebay, not sure of age though it is 25 + years. Before anybody gets worried J9 is staying with me for some time yet. I just really like the 505 and there is at least one more at the club.

I have been asked by the sailing secretary how the dates are looking for a possible CVRDA event. I mentioned that events for 2009 were on the agenda for the AGM this weekend.
