Re: Free Merlin Rocket

Hi Roger,
I might be since I live near Heathrow so it is unlikely to be that far away, is this one of the traditional Merlins or the broader flatter shape that they evolved into?

Re: Mermaid No. 13 in e-bay

Hi, does not look too bad for a neglected boat that is 47 years old!, if there were no bids I would buy it myself and fix it up, should only take a week or two. Mermaids are flat bottomed so the are great pottering boats, if you get stuck just raise the centreboard then push with an oar and off you ...

Re: Mermaid No. 13 in e-bay

Hi, it has a bit of history this one! Steve  One of the first Mermaid Saling Dinghy's. Built by Patrick Hayes in 1962 in collaboration with the designer - Roger Hancock. Sadly Pat has passed on and as his daughter - my sailing days are now behind me! Lovely dinghy looking for a new home. It h...

Re: Mermaid No. 13 in e-bay

Hi, last one on ebay went for £200 which is about average, I have the "Dave" Mermaid which featured in a TV ad for the channel on my front drive, it had its nose cut off diagonally under the foredeck so could be the source of a few hull panels if required. I doubt you will need any though,...

Hi,
I am probably going to bid on the crocodile canoe, that should give the handicappers a real challenge!

Re: Power tools

Bosch 1/3 sheet for me, non velcro because their clamping system seems to work better than anyone elses. I wore out the 1st one then replaced it with another barely used from a car boot for less than a fiver!

Re: Cadet - Wooden masts

Hi,
you have to have a sense of humour (or great optimism) if you are trying to sell an old Cadet!
