Re: Newbie GP14 Restoration

Ok I will be honest with you. Your boat is in a bit of a mess. The more you dig the more problems you will find. I think you have a seriously big project on your hands. It will take months and you will probably end up replacing a huge amount of the boat. If the frames are ok then it will be nearly a...

Re: Anyone planning going to Bosham?

I am debating which boat to take at the moment. Hugh(brother) is in so may take 353 which has a more up to date rig so swimming activities will quite likely happen or 610 which I took last year. Hugh is afraid of breaking Shoestring so she will be staying in the shed. There may be a boat for lend Ed...

Anyone planning going to Bosham?

What it says on the tin really.

It may get me out of my lethargy and get a boat out of the shed.

Re: It's not an Enterprise... but what is it??

Optimistic at £300. I watched it drift past first time round and he had it listed at £500! Sure the world loves an optimist but come on... minor damage? easily repaired?,,, low cost?? No mention of any spars and didn't care about the village in Scotland bit. I`m afraid we have become a bit jaded ov...

Re: Trophies Return

Does John Andrews still have the wingnut? He did have it last time we did a search and was going to pass it to Rupert. Do you still have it John?

Re: National Rally - who is coming?

I`m coming :D :D :D :D :D :D

Thanks to the generosity of a Hunts member putting me up ( should that be putting up with me) and a brave boat owner lending me her boat and partner.

Really looking forward to it.

Re: Cotton sails

I was always under the impression that the seams were close together to allow for stretching. A large gap between seams would stretch very differently to those close together thus allowing for sail shape to be maintained.
I really haven't a clue what I am talking about though.

Hi Ian,

you are welcome to it. There may be someone from here travelling to Roadford in July which may help.

GP14 mast

I have a very nice Super spars Alloy mast which must go. It was on my old GP14 which is sadly no longer. Its free to anyone who thinks they can use it.

I would prefer it went to someone who can use it as a spare than cut it up and give it to the local gipsies.
