This is the easiest boat I have ever righted from a capsize, you can virtually flick this back to upright with one hand. Boom also goes forward, to dep...

Re: Proctor 2018 - the search is on

David,
I will not be able to do boat show or Bosham event.
I will get pictures of Firebird.
I am prepared to loan my Sprint too, for display or for someone to sail, (boat is modernised though, probably to far for event).

Re: Xmas greetings and next projects

Have a go yourself, I am having a laugh sailing my recently acquired Mirror, back to basics.
Next year I intend to sell my Tinker Traveller, Mirror will do similar job, hope to find my first restoration of a wooden boat.

Merry Christmas one and all.

Re: Kicker.

The primary kicker also serves to enable you to release/attach kicker to boom.

Rupert,
power is more than adequate and as you state will work with less, advantage with power is ease of use, I can adjust kicker under any conditions with ease.

Re: Kicker.

This will replicate what my primary kicker does but appears more complex and a lot of faffage. It is attached to mainsheet block bracket, this could be moved aft about 3".

Re: Kicker.

I started off with 4to1 block system, then 1 cascade, still felt like it needed more power, fitted another cascade, giving 16to1.
