Fireflies no.7 plus others

Hi I attended a performance at Plymouths Creative Arts School. On entering the building the first thing I noticed was a Firefly suspended from the ceiling. I made enquires and spoke to a guy from the school about it. They were given 6 by Classic Keel Boats (is this Andrew Thornhill?), and are restor...

Re: Enterprise lack of pointing

We had the same problem with an INT14. Jeremy Pudney then the 14 champion reached in to the boat grasped the centreboard case and found side to side movement. Something we had not thought about. We stiffened the case and after that Audacity was one of the highest pointing boats in the fleet.

Re: Roadford July 2017

Hi
Checked with Roadford O&A my pitch was still booked, which I reserved before the new system came in. That may be because I'm a member. I would advise other people to check on the campsite log in.

Re: Swift 419

Hi Ed
The Enterprise class did try out a spinnaker the one Joe Snawdon( a well known S.W. Ent. sailor), had on Sir Francis was about 420 size.
Rumours at the time mid to late 60's was that the Indian Ent. Assoc had adopted the spinnaker. Whether this was true or not I don't know. Alan Williams

Hi
Meet this very generous man once at Kiel week when I lived in Hamburg and sailed a Tornado with my then girl friend. What pleasant person he was very friendly and offered tuning advice/assistance freely to anyone who asked. May he RIP.

Re: Fireball spinnakers and a jib - anyone have any interest

My cousin had one of my old Hornet spinnakers which he used to use on his Albacore when cruising. Found it very useful when cheating tides.

Must correct my previous post I thought the Compass had recalibrated its self. Found out that this was not the case. Went back to the NZ instructions to calibrate now working perfectly. Result.

Wanted Classic glass Finn

One of the old Roadford Finn sailors is looking for a Finn after being seduced by the Phantom. He is missing his first love and the Phantoms sold. If anyone has a suitable boat for sale in sailing condition please let me know. I'll pass your details on, looking for boats in the SW. preferably. Regar...
