There isn't currently an October event so slotting Shearwater there would neatly fill a gap.

The 1st weekend would give uss the difficult choice of cvrda or Larking about at Rock which we've been promising to do for a couple of years. The wather isn't usually as good then either - the Larks often end up staying in the estuary rather than out in the bay so it wouldn't be so good for us oldie...

The home page was one of the reasons I offered to help with the web site. Once Stu has handed things on it will be my first priority as it's our face to the public!

Northampton and Stewartby would probably be busy with club events but are good. I've camped at Stewartby and it's a great club (cats allowed too!) but, like Roadford, there are few loos and access to the loos is only when the clubhouse is open though they left it all night for us as they have a secu...

Sandy & I will bring the Merlin for some more kite entertainment - we manage at Shearwater and even flew one at Saltford.

As for the water quality it can't be worse than Shearwater last week which looked foul with loads of algae floating on top - and then the Ironmen actually swam in it!

I was looking up Baltic Wharf on the web - do visitors have to pay harbour dues and if so how much?

It was also really nice to see those children looking around at all the cvrda boats on the shore and taking pictures, particularly of the different Merlins.

I bought a super pump from Jimmy Green's - stirrup pump style but pumps on both up and down strokes. Best of all it works with both air and water so will clear the boat as well as inflate the buoyancy bags!! It's plastic though - not very cvrda but effective.

I may have a couple of teenagers willing to crew if my nephews turn up. No racing experience but they've done their RYA level 2. Ask on the day.

Sailwave and the CVRDA handicaps are loaded and running after a bit of a battle! As with my new phone software, I had to totally disable Norton Antivirus and Internet Security, prevent them starting up with Windows, detatch my network connection and reboot before I could successfully install. Gone a...

My laptop's coming anyway for photos so if you tell me where to download the software I'll get it primed. I'll bring my little printer too so there won't be any printer driver problems. If I get enough time to sort the new mobile out as a modem we may be able to upload the reports daily to the web -...
