Tideway sails

Just wondering if anyone has a set of "reasonable" or "half reasonable" sails for a Tideway that they no longer require? Or maybe just a jib?

In hope...

Re: Heat gun

Cheap heat guns (and sanders etc) on the net from Toolstation.com.

I think they are Silverline brand...buy the cheapest.

Toolstation are quite good, when I destroyed a sander they sent another by express delivery, no questions asked.

(No connection blah blah etc)

Re: What on earth?

Michael 4 - now that is an interesting perspective! It is not that hard to fairly quickly pull the rug on a good number of the Proctor designs. Re: What on earth?

I'd add the Marlin to the list of 'why bother?' dinghies.

I don't really know why I bought one (now long gone) and I didn't enjoy it much either...

If there is anyone out there who will stand in its defence I'll be impressed.

Re: 'Sharpening' cam cleats and no bung holes

Thanks for the suggestions, I won't waste time sharpening cleats... Regarding bungs I thought about going through the transom first but don't really want to mess with the way in which the planks are fixed (nailed). I like the idea of a self bailer but fear that the boat being a Tideway it will never...

'Sharpening' cam cleats and no bung holes

Hello, I'm new here and close to finishing a little winter 'refit' project. As things start to come back together I realise a couple of things need sorting out. The old cam cleats seem to slip. I think they are Tufnol. I assume the 'teeth' are worn. Can I re-work or sharpen them in some way or would...

While on the topic of moulded dinghies can anyone make a guess at this?
