Re: Stainless steel screws at Aldi tomorrow

Not worth it for me. The machine screws were big beasts with hexagon heads, the others were all countersunk - I seem to use mostly pan heads so no need for 320 of these in my toolbox

Re: Stainless steel screws at Aldi tomorrow

probably A2 but that is ok for dinghies in my experience - probably better in some ways as not as soft

Not sure how suitable these will be without seeing them but worth a look:

H04 Trimaran

Hi All,

we had a working party on Saturday and tucked away in the corner of the compound hidden in the undergrowth was a dinky little trimaran which was labelled either HO4 or H04 (Oh or zero).

Not something I have ever heard of and a web search has revealed nothing. Anyone got any knowledge?

Well...that did not go well!

Said "Avast Behind" a few times and some of the ladies at the club got quite cross!

I really did not realise that there was such strong anti-pirate feelings nowadays

Re: International Talk Like a Pirate Day - 19/09/15

suspect it is the slanted view from popular film culture - I blame Robert Newton for starting it all. From Wikipedia so it must be true! Newton is best remembered for his portrayal of the feverish-eyed Long John Silver in the 1950 film adaptation of Treasure Island, the film that became the standard...

Hence the expression " what the fox is that?"

Sitting on it doesn't count :P

Could have been degraded and made brittle by UV.

Concept 302 - great little boats

If yours has the optional spinnaker shute, that is a good place to look first

Re: Cvrda goodies and stuff

Had a look at the Wave site last night - impressed - quite a range of stuff and some options to put individual artwork on the back for different types of boat etc. - Matching Varsity jackets anyone?

Probably the most important thing is to make sure they go up to at least 4XL to cope with our increasing membership profiles :D

How about baggy "Captain Spalding" shorts?
