Re: Clwedog Event 25-27th May

We'll be there with 'Myfanwy' our camper - Chris is just adjusting the trailer so we can tow with the mast higher than the top of the van. Aim to come up late Thursday and leave Tuesday morning if that's OK Keith. In the middle we are going to a birthday party in Morecambe - just for the night but w...

New members - welcome

I thought it appropriate to welcome all those new members who have donated their £10 to keeping us afloat (sorry about the pun). Those who were at the AGM held at the Nationals will have seen the accounts and know our membership has improved with the on-line facility. Just a reminder I do send e-rec...

Did anyone named Finnigan send me a £10 cheque. You made it out to me not the CVRDA but I've no membership details from you. Please advise!
Thanks Lois (CVRDA Treasurer)

Re: Am I a sinner?

Hello, I don't often have time to visit the CVRDA website because I work full time and when not working I like to sail! I started sailing about 18 years ago at our small local club - we got hooked - we did courses as a family. I learned more about the boats. Our club racing improved gradually as we ...

Re: New Constitution - Dates for Eligibility

I think that you have it about right Ed. The 1965 rule is easy for everyone to understand. I think you have a hit upon a neat solution to the age of boats eligible - movig on 1 year in every 5 seems about right.

Re: Whitefriars Classics and Lost classes meeting 29th March

:D Many thanks to Rupert and crew at Whitefriars, we had a very enjoyable sail - our first outing this year and Iska's first outing with her new mast.(it's very tall!!) We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and hope it is the first of many events this year. Chris has still got to sort out his computer so ...

Re: Corus South Wales 13th/14th September

I echo everyones comments, Corus was deifinitely our best sail, this season. The weather was great too. Fantastic open water for an inland event. Also pleased to welcome a new fully paid up member Simon. Looking forward to seeing you at some of our events. Many thanks to Sean for all his work in ove...

 Hello, just noticed a mistake in the info for this event. Severn Bridge costs £5.30 going into Wales.........it's free to get out!!!

 We'll probably be there, we pass it regularly on the way to Rhi's. The wind always seems to be blowing well there.

Hello, Chris and I pass this lake often on our way to Carmarthen. It takes about 2hours from Frome, maybe a bit more trailing a boat. The water is very open, not huge but fair sized. Good views of the steelworks!!!

You can see it from the M4 so getting there should be easy.

Hope that's helpful.

Nick, Lynne did look but there were no XL T shirts left and the hats are woolly bobble type not caps. Let me know if you want anything off the list and I'll post it off to you

The divorce isn't imminent.
I just check this section to see if he's bought another boat!! I note that he really does have too much spare time. What about the albacore in need of restoration in the garden or the 5 harps awaiting finishing!!!

Could people register and let me know about food tickets as soon as possible after they arrive. We have outside caterers (Alastair's daughter who did the Wayfarer Bash) and I need to tell her the numbers by Saturday afternoon...... Food tickets will be separate to the entry fee this year at £6 per ...

I also enjoyed Bowmoor, even after I pulled out the centreboard winch block.....with my bare hands! What strength! Chris didn't even swear! Personally I liked staying in a hotel for a change, very civilised, to dine and retire in the same hostelry. I felt very rested. Sometimes one night's camping h...
