Re: Kicker.

current kicker is 16to1, this is plenty, could probably halve this, however I don't want to start heaving control lines, with 16to1 you can adjust with minimum effort, would like to get rid of primary kicker.
Every time I doubled up power, travel was affected.

Kicker.

I want to simplify Kicker on my Sprint, at the moment to get sufficient travel I have a 2 part kicker, the control lines are sent to both sides.

Re: Toe in the water; I've got a blog

First time I have read someone directly attribute Laser to the demise of a class.

Going to stop asking you questions, won't be worth reading your article else or hear your lecture, must have patience and wait.

Re: Proctor Centenary 2018

I don't mean Seagull and Seamew (well Seamew a bit odd), someone recently told me they had acquired a Seagull.
I meant the other three.

Re: Proctor Centenary 2018

Seagull, hmmm heard something about one of these recently.
No surprise some of these boats didn't make it, what strange names.
Leprechaun ?
Rolinx ?
and a Swinger 20 ?
What do you sail ? oh a Rolinx.

Re: Laser 1 possibly very early #39

That's true, swapping from Aquabat or Sprint into a Laser is quite a shock, never understood how it got so popular.

Re: Laser 1 possibly very early #39

David would say they are part of the dinghy narrative.
Never knew they started production elsewhere.

Re: Scows various...

I always think when people say
"Skiff" a boat with no Transom.
"Scow" a boat with roundish foredeck, fairly flat hull.
"Pram" a boat with flat section on front.
Their are probably designs featuring all these three features and any combination of other types.

Re: Laser 1 possibly very early #39

I believe Looes S C have two early Lasers one in the 30's and one in the 70's.
Would they have a classic scene ?

Re: Proctor Centenary 2018

I always assumed same shape as Topper, Minissail, Fireball, Swallow etc, didn't think their was any ambiguity.
