Re: Early International Moths

Rupert as I am sure you are aware your larger cousins the keelboats have a "Spirit of Tradition" to cover just that, incidentaly the wat the Russians are back to their old cheating ways I wouldn't put it past them to build a "genuine antique".

Re: Another Merlin Rocket on ebay

I don't what you two (Rupert & DH.) drank at lunch time but it looks like X 4 clinker in the pictures to me the decks are undoubtably not original and it will be very heavy too, the design the Mk15 was not the best and certainly not the most succesful Ian Proctor drew. THe only other MR I ever s...

Re: Another Merlin Rocket on ebay

It will have been rebuilt built in bouancy was first built in in no 1926 as an experiement and adopted at the 1966 AGM. I'll wager it is very overweight! Still it is sound, and a going concern.

Re: The Merlin Rocket Book

The Surf Scoter is as forgiving/unforgiving vice free.full of vice as any other Merlin Rocket I simply do not buy the thesis that some are harder than others, even Shaft and I did sail her once in a breeze at Hamble was OK.
(The awful thing is some people have more inate skill than others.)
