Re: Down to one boat... each... plus a spare

A few years ago we have a Wanderer (a club boat) parked next to a Leader. The owner of the leader found his boat being used by club members who had mistaken it for the Wanderer:0)

Re: Down to one boat......

I think that the idea of using a double handed boat for single handing could be explored more. The lark would be good, you could take the jib off, rake the plate back a bit and as long as you could get the rig tension to put a bit of pre bend in the mast it would it would go fine. I used to sail my ...

Re: Another what is it?

The hull and rig are similar to a boat my father brought in the mid 70s. The deck is different. My fathers boat was built by Foreland marine. They built a lot of open fishing boats as well and I still see a few of the hulls around. Looks like this one may be a lot later or maybe they sold the hull mo...

Re: Back in the boat park.

Loveley pics, takes me back a while...How are you doing the jib sheets? Mine went to the end of the seat so when you tacked the seat the jib sheet was partly tensioned as well and then you did the rest from the seat after the tack.

Hi Alan

I've been in contact but they don't know really what I'm talking about, so can you tell me where it is in the pound and any identifying features?

Thanks, that seems hopeful,

I didn't want another telegraph pole mast, so softer seems good.

Re roping and repairing would be no problem. I'll contact them.

Re: Typhoon.

I've been in contact with the owner. He wants real money. As a bottom feeder in the dinghy market I can't oblige. Anyone else want it? It's in Totnes. It's got a trailer. Only seen the hull, CB, boom. Someone has screwed rubber door stops to the gunwales for the trapeze crew. Bright yellow deck and ...

Typhoon.

There is a yellow and white Typhoon near me. Looks ok.

Is it worth getting and restoring or is it a real dog and to be avoided? Sailing skills are adequate.

All comments welcome.
