Re: Boat Age Handicap - Kent
I hope next year the event will be on the CVRDA calendar and run by CVRDA handicap system. And no disrespect to Rob who sailed the laser but I would rather a CVRDA type dinghy won.
I will await the CVRDA AGM result but BBSC is keen to run a CVRDA event.

Re: 2009 Event
I think Roger has made an excellent point. A local circuit for the South East and one for the South West etc (etc being further north if there was demand) and then a Nationals in the middle somewhere. Growth will come, in my view, with more events closer to home. Roadford would be great as would a L...

Re: 2009 Event
BBSC is a very attractive place to sail with 250 acres of water surrounded by countryside. I would suggest early rather than late season for two reasons. The wind is more reliable early in the year and the reservoir full.
Monohulls only, length limit is 20ft I think.

2009 Event
I attended the Sailing Committee meeting last night and the subject of events in 2009 was raised as the calendar is being put together. There was much enthusiasm for a CVRDA event (not just from me) so the question is does the CVRDA want to have an event at Bough Beech SC in Kent and if so when? Cam...

Re: One for the Children
So many issues raised. At BBSC a fortnightly event for junior members is held, called Pirates and Bucaneers, which is mainly fun orientated but has meant a few children progressing to a youth race squad, including my son. There are plenty of on water games, lots of club oppies and toppers and a few ...

Re: Jollyboat for total renovation
I did the final coat of varnish on J9 last night. It was a battle with the army of flying bugs that seemed to want to land on my wet varnish but however it looks when dry will have to do as the weather is too nice to miss any more sailing time.
