Re: An emergent classic scene in Australia

Strange they do not mention the Jollyboat given there is a fleet at PMYC which is currently trying to revive itself.

Re: My Bucket list! (for fun)

I can recommend sailing an FD. I would like to sail a National 18, International 12, a classic i14, a 12sq Metre Sharpie and a Finn. Am not really fussed about sailing a cat, foiling or otherwise, though the AC45 was a lot of fun for the RTI. But, an A Class perhaps. I would like a go on a TP52 if a...

Re: Kestrel Help

It does not sound like a Wildfire as they do not have a centreplate/board.

The website seems to have gone. Is it worth trying to get a message directing people here?

Re: 2014 events!

We do not have a large contingent of qualifying boats at Bough Beech and I have not seen significant numbers of visitors (other than the Nationals) either. Perhaps a theme, as put forward by David, would help and seeing as I have two single trapeze doublehanders perhaps that would be a good start?

Re: Insurance

It seems to be very boat specific. Craftinsure have been very good but were quite expensive for a Hornet for which Bishop Skinner were very reasonable.

Thank you, I have now registered. I think if I were looking after that site I would remove/archive some of the older and less positive comments.

Hornet Sails

I am looking for a good main and jib for Hornet 1964. If anybody has a spare set then please get in touch.

( I was going to post on the Hornet forum but it is not accepting new registrations at the current time!)

Sail Area?

The database states that the sail area on the Jollyboat is 13.9 sq m whilst the Hornet is 15 sq m. Surely that cannot be right?

Re: Classic vintage Fireball for sale

I think Roger is spot on. I also think that asking for offers makes it more difficult in many ways. Personally, I would suggest a guide price for potential buyers to consider.
