Re: Kestrel(s)
A good opportunity for the CVRDA baton (mast) passing as we have the nats this weekend coming at Hunts and someone may be there who is near you to save on transport. To start the ball rolling on that front where are you then Nessa may reply too.

Re: National Rally - who is coming?
Thanks Nessa - hope she is good with 66year old boats, cotton sails, wooden battens, weighted centreboard, lousy helm, ribs etc etc. Looking forward to it.

Re: Removing rubrail from Ent.
From what I remember when I restored gannet and a number of boats needing re-decked if you start from the stern of the boat with holes predrilled every 6-8" and gradually pull the strip inwards using clamps and a rope at the bow end with the epoxy in place the whole thing will go together witho...

Re: FIREFLY sails for sale.
I have been the custodian of a set of tan coloured cotton Firefly sails for a number of years which were acting as a sunshade at Clywedog. I did have a Firefly but not now. These can be free to anyone interested as they are just cluttering up the garage. A change of ownership at Hunts is possible! P...

Re: National Rally - who is coming?
I will be coming with Trish so that will be two for meals - I'll be B&B-ing. BUT I wonder if you could possibly arrange a crew for me Nessa from your plethora of youthful Hunts talent. Unfortunately Pete who has sailed Nats with me the last few years can't manage this year. OR if there is anybod...

Roger Farah wins........... a wingnut and it's not even the Nationals!!
Re: Mermaid
The one I saw is an 11ft angular one. It needs the mast hounds sorting as they have pulled out of the wooden mast and the hounds has twisted but I would say not a big job to do.
Mermaid
Met someone tonight who has a Mermaid dinghy. Went onto the dinghy database and sure enough there it is BUT what year was it designed if anyone knows. Potential CVRDA-er.

Now in Chapel Allerton near Cheddar and a member of BCSC. They do drink the stuff after it has been passed by Bristol Water management. I prefer Wilkins cider myself. Happy to be in Somerset.

Sorry to miss out this year Keith - we are in the USA. Shame as it is my favourite place to sail. The friendliest club and great facilities
