Hi,
sadly the bits came with one of those but the timber down the centreline of the floor is completly rotten, so I thought sell off the mast etc to raise funds for other projects, if anyone is interested they can have the lot for £50 including a decent centreboard

Hi, have to confess that the Mermaid cost me £150 total, the boat was £100 and the rest was made up of £20 plastic for a cover plus paint, varnish a bit of filler and several square metres of sandpaper, Oh and a few bits of pipe lagging to pad the trolley. Not sure about a carbon rig, maybe I cou...

Hi, I made a flat winter cover for my Scorpion from uv resistant black sheet plastic I bought off the roll in Homebase, just cut it to size and shape, roll up the edge and secure with brass eyeletts from a simple kit. Cost about £20 and still lasting 6 winters later, just make sure the hull is dry ...

Hi,
most important thing is to take the mast off when you are not using it in the winter and put a flat cover on the hull. Stops the rain getting in and prevents water damage to bottom of transom etc. If you sail all year round make sure you put wicks in the bung holes to soak out excess water

Hi, thanks for all the advice but the best solution remains the plastic trolley support, all I have to do is find one!

The laser trolley comes with a textured plastic coating on top that helps the boat slide on and off, I could use some carpet or similar instead but that stays wet and over time can result in osmosis bubbles forming

Hi All, bit of help required here please, I need to get hold of the fibreglass back end of a plastic laser trolley. The intention is to cut it up and use it as a hull support at the back end of a metal trolley so even a crap old one with a broken side will do. If you have one, or know of one laying ...

Hi, make sure you clean the area thoroughly with acetone before putting the new numbers on, they stick a lot better that way, it also cleans off the old adhesive marks
