I was taking a close look at the mast on J9 and it is looking its age (Proctor mast maybe not original). As a trapeze boat I am concerned about stresses etc. How do I know what the probability is of mast failiure?

According to the commentary they have been sailing it, I presume at their sailing club, did nobody say that is not a GP, but more like a 420 or 470.

I know a couple of people who work in marine insurance at Lloyds though they underwrite somewhat larger commercial shipping. I will mention the above and see if a small scheme would be viable but I doubt it given the likely numbers.
