Thanks Ed, I have also added a narrative to each photo as I may forget what they are.

Very nice visit, some excellent displays etc. Sadly the Jolly Boat was not rigged as the mast is too large! It was slightly odd in that it was transom and centre sheeted and had two sets of jib fairleads, had two winches and a small double winch type thing near the base of the mast. (I have one of t...

The new Leopard was the fastest monohull on Saturday with the Extreme 40s being fastest multis I think. The SB3s were around between 9hrs 18min to 9hrs 46mins.

Thanks for the offers, if anybody has a launch trolley too? The trailer is OK but a tad heavy for launching, recovery etc.

No, broadband failed at home, since Sunday, and having fogotten about it I did not get the outbid notice from ebay. Shame, but I should be concentrating on sailing J9 and improving the Mirror which has no spinnaker or fittings if anybody has any?

Does anybody know is there is a specific record for sailing around the Isle of Wight in a dinghy? The RYA and google were not very useful but somebody may be able to point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Well Nigel, that sounds very reasonable. Ed and I are considering another option at the moment but if it is convenient to measure the ones you have that would be great. I understand the J mast is 6146mm in total but I would like to raise the boom a little!

Thank you

Just heard from allspars that a new FF mast is £766 plus delivery or a FD mast (Only Carbon) is £1892. Secondhand it is then!

If anyone has a mast that fits a Jolly Boat (Flying 15) please let me know. My club held its first boat age handicap race yesterday and fresh from winning the novice racing the previous day felt we had a chance. However, the jib halyard/wire came out of the mast slot just below the sail head about 2...
