Vuvuzela!!

Post by Michael Brigg »

Image

Since we've spent a bit too much time lately blowing our trumpets, as some light relief, has anyone got any (polite) ideas about a use for one of these in the context of the CVRDA.

i.e:-
1.) As additional clutter in the garage/boatshed. (Alongside the Unicycle.) 8)
2.) Carried on board to warn off others (see also "Vindi vardi Boot Buggeri arf")
3.) As an alternative (temporary) starting hooter at Shearwater.

Ensure dry floor in boat when caught short - the narrow bit would appear to be centreboard slot width. With a bit of judicial remoulding over a flame the trumpet end could be modified for lady use as well.

I hate to worry you (jon..be scared...be very scared as the Tera Nationals are but a week hence) but.....

In years gone by, Netley used to host the Scorpion Southerns. I was a 'new' race officer and was not aware of the rules that state that belt, braces and knotted string may not be enough to keep trousers from ending up around ankles.

A big fleet of boat were trying to start, when the electric horn failed, then both the gas powered horns gave out nothing more than a wet sounding f*rting noise.

Cue the whole Race Team, lined up along the rail, all shouting 'Bang' in unison!!!!

One of them there horns would have saved my bacon!
