Having just returned from a lovley 24 hours sailing a rather smart racer back from Plymouth to the Hamble to be ready for Cowes week I got to pondering about those long hours when its just a nice 14 knot breeze on the quarter, the moon is shining and all is at peace with the world apart from trying to work out exactly which direction that bloody great ship is heading and whether you will cross her bows or not.
My nephew (skipper in dream job,) and I had some pretty long chats but I cant remember any of them. Is this the result of lack of sleep or is it normal because nothing meaningful was said.
and I missed the dolphins both times
