I think I have a couple of 7.45m needlespars on a garage roof. Any use?roger wrote:Measured the mast today from step to tip is 25` 3" including the step. anyone know of an overlong tin stick out there. Gp one is way to short so that option is out.
Look what I have gone and been and done.

Hi Nigel,
I have been offered a needlespar already. I am still thinking about imy options l am a bit worried they will be to bendy for a sail cut for a stiff wooden mast. Thanks for the offer though.

Hi Roger
There are some very stiff Needlespars out there. John Baker and I used to have very stiff needle on 2038 . We were racing with a combined crew weight of thirty stone. Needles are easy to stiffen by putting another tubular insert inside them. The length and section thickness can be adjusted to provide the perfect oneoff mast.
Cheers Al and Happy Christmas to you all.
Dave I'm not pissed off of Plymouth I'm Happy of Roadford now.
