You know you're... when

Post by JimC »

I've built a plywood 19" rack mount for the UTP patch bay in the electrical cupboard in my house.
As a combination of IT geekdom and wooden boat geekdom it scores a few points I think, although at least I haven't made it out of sapele face ply and varnished it...

That's far too organised! Even with wireless you have to link up the access points and my cables trail above doorways and across curtain poles. Nice one Jim. :)

Do you think Jim was trying to post on Classic and Vintage Wireless and got his wires crossed?

Now you just need to re-rig it!.... The mast off Iska is fully Wifi compatible and picks up VHF too with it three sets of diamonds.

For some reason this reminds me of sailing a GRP Ent with an aluminium mast under power lines on the Thames. The mast used to buzz and tingle. Anyone else had a similar experience?
