Look at this for a gorgeous boat:
I stumbled across it when looking at clubs around the Cambridge area (in case we ever actually get to move....)

The lines for "Baby", a very similar 1/2 rater from 1894 are in Dixon Kemp. I'd not realized any had survived, they were so lightly built. Amazing!

Very beautiful, but a restoration or a reproduction? Whatever, can I have one for Christmas - there is no denying the quality of design and execution!

It did say that the transom was the only surviving part so it's the 3 new heads and 4 new handles original brush scenario.

Whilst at school and University in the fens (Late 50's to early 60's I recall team racing against then in their very narrow piece of water we'd walk a mile along the bank with a bouy and then throw it in being careful not to throw it beyond halfway this would the windward mark! The boats were quite unlike anything else I have ever sailed including a Arab Dhow.
