As a grandaughter of Alfred Burgoine I am interested to know if anyone has any information on his boats. Thankyou.

He may well predate most of the knowledge of the cvrda, I'm afraid. If memory serves me right, he was a founder member of Tamesis club in 1885 (I was a member there 90 years later)and the club house was originally his houseboat. And I think he was Queen Victoria's boatbuilder, or something like that! I'll see if my father can remember any more when I next speak to him. There may also be stuff about him on the web, but whether there are details of actual boats, I don't know. Curious now, though!
The only canoe sailor in MY village too !
