How about a skippy or kipper or something that horrible Milne Bathtub thing of the early 70's that occasionally come up on ebay for bird baths or something......

Day 18: No chainplates explained (a u bolt, and a two to one wire strop leading to a muscle box below deck). The shroud attaches to a block on the strop.

certainly much less painful to use then the sharks-tooth quadrant boats of this class used to have when I was learning to race by crewing in them in the 70's. Fingers never recovered completely... stacks easier to just pull a string!
