The stylised M could be Batt sails, there is an example on his webpage.

Mountfield? I think their logo was an M also.

Neil could say, I think his HIT has Mountfield sails if I remember correctly

The stylised M is definitely Mountfield - Mike MountField, based in Hayling Island and famous as a Fireball Champion. In his heyday he was a popular choice for many classes, merlins in particular liked his spinnakers.

Seahorse sails were in a different league all together - they were one of the most influential performance sailmakers in the UK in the golden era of the 1970s. Austin Farrar had used some incredibly complex maths to develop winning sails shapes - indeed. many of the advances in performance sails at that time came out of that loft - via numerous World Championships victories.

Sadly, long gone

Could also be Morrisons if it's a white M in a red circle

For piston hanks etc. try classicmarine.co.uk who are based in Martelsham, Woodbridge, Suffolk.
