Embassy sailing dinghy.

Post by mapron »

Hi there. I'm new to the forum and I'm posting to see if anyone can help with information about the Embassy sailing dinghy. I recently bought one, sail no. 302, and the wood appears to be sound, but the 40 year old glue is now failing and the seams need re-gluing (with epoxy?). I know that these boats were built in the UK in the mid 70s, similar to the Heron. I'm wondering how much stripping down I need to do to get at the seams, and how best to go about it. Any advice would be appreciated. Does anyone on the forum still sail an Embassy?

Welcome to the forum!

People may miss this posting up here. May be worth repeating in the boat repairs section.
