Television program from Clewedog

Post by chris »

The episode of Waterworld that was shot at the CVRDA event at Clywedog last year will be screened tonight (thursday13th) at 7.30pm ITV1 central region. ( sorry for for short notice but ITV have only just phoned)
As many of don't live in the central region could somebody record it please - perhaps we can have a group showing sometime.

Does this mean that from tomorrow we will get a link to the Clwedog programme - definitely not in the ITV central region in Aberdeenshire!!!

I'll try to get it here in the South region..... then save it to disc.... then, see how long the good bits are, if it is uploadable or not.

Waterworld gets repeated on Sky eventually but I've only ever seen canal episodes yet.

If you have sky you should be able to get the regional ITV variations......somewhere before the adult channels (or so I'm told)

No such luck - I've jusy been right through Sky and it's only the BBC regionals we get, not ITV! I've asked Sandy to phone his son in Oxford as Thames Valley North) get it acording to TV guide - maybe someone could call David R??

Sadly, my video recorder is broken, as I've just watched you lot starring on prime time telly!
As sailing programmes go, it was pretty good, too...though hearing Mr Barlow saying he was "OK at the wood bit" or similar was quite amusing! Wish I was as "OK" at it...

Guess where I was till 7.30 tonight, yep on the lake, it was rather hard navigating back from the dam in the dark!!!.

Not sailing as We are currently providing safety cover for a company on a diving contract at the dam.

I am assured we will have water for the CVRDA open.

I to got an email from ITV today so consequently no time to let any of you know, sorry but I missed it too.

I have the video on my hard drive and can offer copies as quicktime files or podcasts. The files are on Mac at the moment but I will check out versions on a Windows platform as well. MPEG4 file is 70 MB and I have a smaller podcast at about half that size.

I have managed to create two clips - about 6MB each - from the video which are suitable for emailing. Image is a bit small but audio is clear and video acceptable as long as the image is kept small.

Mmmmmmmmmmm - "not a professional boat builder"

"So Chris what are you?"

"Aspirational water skier!!"

Seriously though I think they did a great job for us.

Did anyone notice that there was a blue Flying Fifteen continually nosing into shot. I got shivers up my spine every time I saw it.
