What is happening here?
What is happening here?
Just found this photo on the lark site......
but what is happening?
What is that black Foil doing?
Have they lost their rudder? Just hit another boat? or have they just run over a shark?
thoughts?

Looks like Sandy and Pat being attacked by either a Shark or a rubber flipper or just a csae of an other example of what you can do with photoshop.

That might be the top of a cassette dagger rudder thingamy, I think I have seen them on lurks.
As for what is happening: might the helm have fallen into the back of the boat during a tack and stalled in irons. The boat has then started to reverse down a wave and sunk by the stern. I've done it in a hornet before now not fun.

Re: What is happening here?
The Lark likes to approach from underneath, taking the prey up and toying with them, throwing them to the back of the boat to be thoroughly bruised, tenderised and humiliated before a quick but terminal death roll. The tail fin may often be seen in the raised position indicating the state of exited anticipation. Few will survive this sudden brutal attack. Quite clearly a Lark.
For comparison (if you have any doubt,) this is a Shark attack!!...

Yes, precisely. The Lark death roll! Brings it all back!
