Hornet 945 Mojo
Hornet 945 Mojo
There is a call on another forum for the whereabouts of 945 Mojo. I am sure David H or Al were talking about this boat at some point.
Anyone know anything?

Re: Hornet 945 Mojo
Ah the dreaded Mojo
Until Revolution the most successful hornet of all time. First to start the only Green boats win the championship theme. I do not know were she is but she was owned by the late Doug Bishop of Bishop and Skinner Insurance. I'm still trying to find Piece of Cake Hornet 2063 but these boats seem to disappear into the backwoods never to be seen again.
Cheers Al

Thanks Alan,
Yes I remember Doug Bishop cleaning up with Mojo. I believe that Dave Derry also owned her??? I am following up a lead that might be fruitful. But I think she may be languishing in a back garden and needing lots of tlc. I am hoping to find her, get her sailing again for next years 60th anniversary and Jack Holt's 100th.
Hopefully we can look at her again and proclaim want a great boat she was/is
cheers

Hi Mole,
If it's of any use Dave and Brenda Derry were living in Calstock Cornwall and sailing out of Saltash SC a while ago. I haven't seen either of them around the Plymouth sailing scene for quite a time.
Cheers Al

Re: Hornet 945 Mojo
Hi Mole
Sorry to hear that. Yes it seems as if these old hornets are lying forgotten and unloved in the barns, dinghy parks and garages of either Essex or somewhere in Britain. I'm at present trying to track down two of my old boats Hornet 2063 Piece of Cake and INT 14 Audacity 732 with little success. I'll keep an eye out for Mojo and any other historic hornets when on my travels.
Good luck with your search.

Re: Hornet 945 Mojo
Do I take it from your post Al that Essex is no longer part of Britain.
