Wrong?
no.......you have our full sympathy. Sounds to me like the bug has bitten very hard for you Nessa. Don't worry, we are all just as made here.
Of course, if you bought it, you wouldn't be allowed to talk about it here, cos it's got (or should have) a dirty engine on it.
I have emailed my brother and fear it is just the kind of thing which he will take one look at and decide that he has to have it.
cheers

Well you either bought it or you've missed it, it has been pulled from the auction.

Re: is it wrong?
Everything in its place. That well known FD conversion with the steam engine is maybe nicer though. But very rare. I wonder though, there are an awful lot of uncompetitive Flying Fifteens about. I wonder about how one of those would work with an outboard well, a cabin and awning?Nessa wrote:I have to confess I sometimes enjoy boats with....[redacted]
Re: is it wrong?
And just a keel to unbolt, rather than a big box in the middle of the boat to remove. Sounds like a plan for my old age!

Re: is it wrong?
I spent sunday on a rescue boat (sorry, these PC days we have to call it "Patrol duty,") with a guy who spent some time sailing Sunfish in Bermuda. He told me about their "Seagull Round the Island race." Very competitive, a bit like our "Lawnmower Grand Prix" races with souped up two strokes.Nessa wrote:wasn't me. It looks very CVRDA!
Enjoy!!

Re: is it wrong?
Many years ago I took park in Fowey's Seagull race, which takes place some time around New Year. You have 2 timed runs, and the boat which manages to be closest in time on each run wins, if I remember correctly.

If there's one engine in the world that wouldn't look out of place in the CVRDA it's the Seagull.Michael Brigg wrote:It looks very CVRDA!

For sale, so I'll put it in the for sale section....

Hi all, I used to take part in open Lawn mower Grand Prix years ago, running, pushing my Mothers small Qualcast, more CVRDA than a spitting 2stroke, some entrants used to tow pushalong mowers with racing bikes, the only stipulation was that the mower must be able to cut grass ( not whilst racing ).
