New paint scheme

Post by Max McCarthy »

I have recently been sorting out the moth, and thought I would try out a new paint scheme.

What do you think?

Or is it a Tigermoth?

Note:- In WW1 before Radar , and when torpedos were aimed by sight, "Dazzle Camoflage reduced the tonnage sunk by about 60%!

The "camoflage makes it harder to judge the direction of movement, or may cause you to aim for the wrong bit.

Talking of Torpedoes, here's another target!!

I like it Max. In the 80s the Hornets went through aphase unusual paint jobs. The infamous "spotty dog" was well spotty. somewhere there is a pic of her.

Any more thoughts on the wooden boat project?

Thanks Roger, and thanks Micheal, I would be interested in the picture of Spotty!

Roger, I have had more thoughts on the wooden boat project, but now my dad has his heart set on a N12 so no more boats for the time being unfortunately. But I would hate to see her go.

Best regards,

Max

Thanks Nessa, and Rob.

Rob, I think I have stopped the leak, but I am not too certain, so far I have just filled it with epoxy and glass resin.

Nessa, I just used tape and painted up to it, and pulled the tape off to get the scheme, if it is of any help?

Thanks again,

Max
