Post by iowlen » Tue Dec 24, 2013 12:08 am

For anyone that might be interested , I've recently been told about an Aussie scow Moth 'club' on Facebook.
There are lots of interesting old and new photo's and articles.

 Brilliant site...Absolutely amazing...I love these dinghies. Had enormous fun in them and all of it is owed to the pioneers like what I just seen ( To misquote Ernie Wise) on this fantastic facebook site.

Its all there history archive material personal stories and pics from the time.

I think what I like so much is the spirit of invention: think it; build it; try it; burn it or buy it and then make it better.

And these boats like any good design are a delight when the move through the water. The Magnum 8 is just a gorgeous broad beam skiff - slim, shapely and very very elegant. Steady on boy ,steady on !!!

While the magnum 9.9 goes like a rocket in a breeze ....... if you can stay on !!!!

  :D Cheers
Mags 8 n 9.9
