Clywedog Open 6 & 7th Aug

Post by keithr »

Hi everyone

Planning nearly all done, usual format Sat afternoon race/s then three on Sunday.

Sarah is doing the catering again from Sat onwards with an evening meal/bar on the Sat pm.

Sorry no 60's band as one of members is unavailable.

Some idea of numbers and length of stay would be great.

If any one wants a loan boat let me know and I will see what I can find.

I'll be there with the Minisail (just made a plastic trolley so I can roof rack the boat from Swindon to Clywedog via Plymouth) arriving Sat morning, needing a small space to camp and then departing Sunday after it all finishes.

Veggie meal, please!

Unfortunately we are away so will miss it this year. Off to visit daughter who is teaching sailing in Spain. Good luck with the weekend.

PS if my old merlin boat cover is still around perhaps someone who will be at Whitefriars could collect and do the CVRDA transport service thing. Must be worth a pint or two.

Hi Keith
I'm unable to make it this year due to the big ends going in the van. Good news is that my heart has been reset so will be able to sail again. Hope you all have a good time.

That was fun! Tired now...

Thanks to Keith and team for putting on a good, fun event. The last race in particular was excellent - lots of lovely screaming reaches!

Thanks to Kate and Giles, too, for the hot chocolate and the extra mature Marmite sandwich for breakfast!

Keith, are you going to write it up, or do you want me to?
