Kielder is actually further north than Gretna Green.
Best wishes

You say Hunts are talking about first May bank holiday, but that's the same one Kielder were talking about with the dam to dam race on the Monday.

Hunts have been in intense negotiations with the Merlins and a combined De may and Cvrda event will be held on Saturday 9th June. They have been aware of the near clash with Roadford but could not find another date that would suit everyone.

I assume the invitation to sail on the Sunday club racing will be there as usual.

Sorry to be slow in joining the discussion, but I've been a bit busy. Nottingham would like to run their Old Boats weekend again in mid May, if there is a gap. 18/19 is a possibility, or a week earlier. Grateful for comments/support.

Moths - we are hoping old school moths can piggy back on the british moth open at whitefriars in the summer. Rupert - what was the date?

The date is Sunday 8th July -BM's now confirmed on the Whitefriars sailing programme, but I still need to run the classic Moths past our sailing committee.

Hi Rupert,
Does either of us need to contact the British Moth Assoc to make sure that they have no objections to the Classic Moths joining their Anniversary bash? You may have done this already of course in which case I'll concentrate on trying to publicise it as a Classic Moth event once it is passed by your Committee. I am guessing that you still have links with the BM's, but if you want me to liase with them I'd be happy to if you can give me a contact in their association.

Regards

Hi Ian,

I'll talk to Roger Witts (he who was sailing his BM far too fast at the Nationals) about it as he is working out their programme for 2012. He may be reading this anyway!
