Roger is very happy with the idea, Ian. Yet to hear back from the club, but I can't see why (as Matt Andrews has a Classic Moth) it should be a problem.

John, Roger is also very interested in our coaching day, and would like to invite British Moths along. I suggested that we would be very relaxed on age of boat for the event, too. He has been race coaching for 25 years, and is happy to join the coaching team for the day! Their season kicks off the next weekend at frampton, so we may get a few takers.

I would like to bring the moff to the coaching day, but wouldn't want to attempt to race it unless I have made massive improvements in my sailing of it ie far fewer capsizes. I just get in the way.

Or both, when I first took out my moth, and didn't race, that is what I did, although I often found people sailed close to me to see what boat I was sailing! Which didn't help

Hi roger

If room put Clywedog in for late July during holidays is best as we can make it a family event.

What are the Olympic sailing dates, anyone? Will we loose numbers to that? Not taking part, of course...

29th July to 11th August. Her indoors is on the pitch from 3rd - 12th August, very selfishly preventing me from going to the contender europeans which are on at the same time.

The tv coverage of the sailing is so rubbish that I doubt people will stay home to watch it in preference to sailing themselves. I may stay for the usual glimpse of the back of her head...

We will be going for the first week to Weymouth. We have planned to go to London for the second week but since we can't get any tickets we may cut that week short.

I can confirm that Kielder would like to host the CVRDA Northern Area Championship on May the 5th and 6th, with competitors being invited to join in our annual Dam to Dam challenge trophy on Mon 7th (bank holiday). I will need help and advise on how CVRDA meetings are normally run, handicaps etc but it should be a good weekend.

Look forward to seeing some of you there
