Staunton Harold in June

Post by PeterV »

We are looking forward to the first CVRDA rally at Staunton Harold on 25 and 26 June. We are at Staunton Harold reservoir, just outside Melbourne village, about 10 miles south of Derby, and about the same distance from the M1 and A42.
We have space for camper vans, caravans and tents and I will be at the club from Friday for those who wish to arrive early.
Sailing will start with a briefing at 1130 on Saturday and racing from 1200. The Notice of Race will shortly be available from the SHSC website.
This event will also be the Class Championship for Minisails and low rider Moths are also welcome.
I'm hoping to be able to provide a meal on Saturday evening in the clubhouse.

Please let me know if you're planning on coming so that I can get an idea of numbers..

I'm certainly going to be there... Will be in the Minisail champs, and will have another boat for people to play with...

I expect to be bringing a tent...

I shall be there with camper van and Minisail. It is possible that daughter will be there with Periwinkle the Puffin, but suspect that will be a last minute decision.

Hi, Peter.
I'd like to join you please, Minisail 6874. I think I'd like to bring a tent (I'll try and find a watertight one this year... ) and would expect to arrive on Friday evening, leaving on Monday morning if that fits?

Eagerly looking forward to this!

Hello Peter
I am hoping to get over from Notts with the old Alb. Bill has fallen foul of the Sailing Police and now runs a B&B in the Lakes so sadly will not be around.
All the best
